Have a Micey Nice Day Card

Today I’m here with a Penny Black mouse card. The mouse crawling up the cheese is from “London calling” and the one looking up at him is from the transparent stamp set “Every Which Way”. I colored both of them using Prismacolor Pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner. To add dimension, I heat embossed the Inky Antics title with American Crafts Zing embossing powder and popped up the bottom mouse on crafting foam. Using the Cricut and George and Basic Shapes cartridge, I created the block of cheese by randomly cutting circles of different sizes into a piece of yellow Bazzill cardstock.
To finish off my card, I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.
I’m entering this card in the current Penny Black @ Allsorts Challenge.
Have a “micey” nice day!

Hedgie Goes To Japan

I made this card for my husband’s grandmother in Japan. My mother-in-law is going to visit her this coming week and I wanted her to get something handmade from us. The title and hedgehog are both Penny Black stamps with the hedgie being from the transparent stamp set “Wonderful”. I colored him using Prismacolor Pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner. To add dimension, I stamped the letter a second time and adhered it using crafting foam.
Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

My First Stampin’ Up Project: Up, Up & Away Hot Air Balloon Card

The card I’m sharing with you today is a little different from my usual cardmaking style. I recently purchased my first Stampin’ Up stamps and couldn’t resist making a card with them right away. One of the stamp sets I bought was the “Up, Up & Away” set. From that set, I chose two of the hot air balloons and stamped them in “real red” and “old olive”. To add dimension to the card, I mounted the striped balloon.
The title is from the Penny Black transparent stamp set “Wonderful”. For more interest, I stamped it onto vellum. Both the cloud pattern paper and the green gingham are by A Muse.

Have you noticed my new blog banner? I hope you like it and would love to hear what you think about it.

Thanks for stopping by and spending some of your time with me! Wishing you all a wonderful day.

Penny Black Bee Gift Tag

Happy Monday everyone! I’m kicking off the new week with this Penny Black gift tag. If you adore the bee from “Every Which Way” as much as I do check out the two birthday cards I created with it (please click here and here). Thanks for looking! I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Nestabilities Shaped Card

I had always wanted to make a shaped card and with my Spellbinders nestabilities it couldn’t have been any easier.

The hedgehog as well as the butterflies and title are clear stamps from the Penny Black set “Wonderful Day“.

I stamped the butterfly on the outside of the card twice, adhered the one I had previously cut out using mounting foam, decorated the inside of the card with coordinating paper and an additional butterfly and done was my first shaped card.

Now all that’s left to do is decide who to give this card to :).

Hope you like it and thanks for visiting my blog.

“You’ve Got Mail” Card

I finally got around to make a quick card with one of the stamps my friend Kerstin sent me. I colored the Penny Black hedgehog with my Prismacolor Pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner. The title is computer generated and the scalloped border was created with my Fiskars border punch.
Kerstin, if you are reading this, thanks again for all the goodies you sent.

Stamp & Cuttlebug Folder Swap

My friend Kerstin and I decided to exchange some Penny Black stamps and Cuttlebug embossing folders. Here is a picture of what I received in the mail today. Thank you Kerstin! I can’t wait to turn these into cards:

Also, I wanted to show you the “hi” card I included in Kerstin’s package. The image of the hedgehog is a Penny Black stamp and both the title and frame are Cricut cut outs. “Hi” is from Base Camp and the frame from Accent Essentials. I stamped the snail twice, cut it out and mounted it using crafting foam. Thanks for looking.
