My Crafting Room

Today I recreated last week’s felt mushroom card for my Etsy store and therefore don’t have any new cards to share but I thought you might enjoy a picture of my crafting area.

I’m still looking for a ribbon organizer so if anyone has any suggestions/recommendations please leave me a comment. Thanks. (Edit 04/16/2010: I found a Craftsmate ribbon organizer for only $4.50 at Walmart yesterday!).

This is where all my cards are created:

Edit 02/10/2011: my crafting room has changed quite a bit over the last few months; this is what it looks like now:

Ink Pad Comparison

I bought my first Versafine (onyx black) ink pad yesterday. After I got home, I did some comparison stamping using my new Versafine ink pad and my two other ink pads by Jo-Ann Craft Essentials and Hampton Art a la mode.

The stamp I chose is by Penny Black and called “Love Conquers”.

Here are the results (note I used Copic paper for all three images).

First a group shot (left to right: Hampton Art a la mode, Jo-Ann Craft Essentials & Versafine). Please click on the photo for a larger view.

And some close ups.

1. Hampton Art a la mode: image looks slightly grayish

2. Jo-Ann Craft Essentials: image shows some bleeding

3. Versafine: clean, crisp image no bleeding

What do you think? Do you have a favorite ink pad? Thanks for your input.

What paper do you “feed” your Cricut machine?

I love the texture of Bazzill but find that the Cricut has problems cutting it at times. I’ve tried DCWV cardstock but don’t like the white core. So most of the time I end up using Bazzill even if that means fixing some of the cut-outs (thank God for the Cricut tools!)

Please share your experience. Thanks!

Hello & Welcome

Thanks for stopping by my blog. As the title suggests, I’m an avid card maker and scrapbooker. I have been addicted to pattern paper, embellies and stamps since I first set foot in one of our local scrapbook stores two years ago.

Please come back often as I will frequently share new cards and other paper craft projects. Comments are always greatly appreciated! I hope you like what you see.
