Polar Bear Easel Birthday Card

It’s been a while since I made an easel card. This one I made for my husband’s birthday last week. To create the card base, I cut 2 pieces of Bazzill cardstock. One measuring 3.5″ X 3.5″ and the other one measuring 7″ X 3.5″. Using my Scor-pal, I scored the second piece at 3.5″ and 1.75″. The polar bear is a cut out from pattern paper by Rayher Hobby and the title is a stamp by Impression Obsession.

Christmas Flap Cards

We gave my parents concert tickets for Christmas and I made these flap cards to put them in. Below you find the instructions and supply lists for both cards. Please click on the pictures for a larger view.

1. Cut 9″ X 3.5″ piece of cardstock
2. Score cardstock at 8.5″
3. Cut 11″ X 3.5″ piece of cardstock
4. Score cardstock at 8.5″
5. Create flap using circle nestabilities
6. Emboss edge of flap using circle nestabilities
7. Glue both pieces of cardstock together
8. Decorate card
9. Add magnets

Blue and red Bazzill cardstock, pattern paper by Rayher Hobby Germany, Spellbinders nestabilities, Scor-pal, Hero Arts Christmas To You D5263, Copic paper, 2 magnets by Darice.

Penny Black Gifts Sedan Birthday Card

After all the Christmas cards I posted during the past few weeks, I would like to share a birthday card with you today. It features the Penny Black stamp “gifts sedan” and a few Cricut cut-outs. The clouds are from the Zooballoo cartridge and the circle for the sun is from George and Basic Shapes. I cut the clouds at 1.5″ and 1.25″ and the circle at 2.5″ (sign function). The sun rays as well as the city sign were cut with my paper trimmer. The title is computer generated. Just to give you a quick explanation on the sign, “Orken” is a small town in Germany and it’s where the recipient of the card lives ;). The image was colored using Prismacolor Pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner.

Nestabilities Shaped Christmas Card

I decided to make another shaped Christmas card using my nestabilities. The mouse is from the Penny Black transparent stamp set “the wonder”. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner and layered the stocking to add dimension to the card. The stars and moon are from the Penny Black “Just Wishing You” stamp (to see a card featuring the entire image please click here). The title is by Penny Black as well and called “wondrous”.

Caroling Hedgehog Christmas Card

I’m back with another Christmas card. I created the card base with my scalloped square nestabilities and Cuttlebug. Both the title and caroling hedgehog are Penny Black stamps. I colored the hedgehog with Prismacolor Pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner. To add dimension, I layered both of his hands, the musical note sheet and lantern. For a more realistic look, I applied Glossy Accents to the glass part of the lantern. To complete my card, I added a bow and applied flocking powder to the hedgehog’s Santa hat and the area right below his feet.

Penny Black Gift Tag Challenge

This Christmas gift tag is my entry for this week’s Penny Black “gift tag” challenge. I just purchased my first Copic markers and coloring the Penny Black “Warm & Cold” snowman image gave me a chance to practice my Copic coloring skills. To color the image, I used the following markers: B 32, R08, E 37, RV11 and YR04.

Penny Black Winter Challenge

Last week’s Penny Black “winter” challenge gave me the opportunity to make another Christmas card. The snowman is from the transparent stamp set “holly-jolly” and the title is from “the wonder”. To add some texture to the card, I created a snowy hill out of felt and for more dimension layered the snowman’s gloves and stocking. I adhered the snowman using 3D foam and finished off my card by adding a punched out snowflake as well as some twine.

Penny Black Guest Designer Challenge Card 2 of 2

Here’s my second card for the Penny Black “guest designer” challenge. I went with the rubber stamp “fly with me” and teamed up Teddy with one of the titles from the transparent stamp set “Critter Party”. I paper pieced the kite as well as Teddy’s overall using Penny Black cardstock and in a final step added a little bit of Glossy Accents to the heart on the kite.
