Penny Black Winter Challenge

Last week’s Penny Black “winter” challenge gave me the opportunity to make another Christmas card. The snowman is from the transparent stamp set “holly-jolly” and the title is from “the wonder”. To add some texture to the card, I created a snowy hill out of felt and for more dimension layered the snowman’s gloves and stocking. I adhered the snowman using 3D foam and finished off my card by adding a punched out snowflake as well as some twine.
Thanks for taking a look! I hope you like what you see.

Penny Black Holly Jolly Christmas Card

I made another Christmas card today using the Penny Black transparent stamp set “Holly-Jolly”. I cut out the hedgehog and snowman, mounted them using dimensional foam and added some Glossy Accents to the snowman’s nose.
I’m entering this card in this week’s Penny Black “Critter” challenge and the “Get Ahead for Christmas” challenge at Penny Black @ Allsorts.
I hope you are having a great weekend! Until next time.

Skiing Hedgehog Christmas Card

I’m here with another Penny Black Christmas card that I’m submitting to the current Penny Black @ Allsorts Challenge.
The skiing hedgehog is a stamp by Penny Black called “exhilarating” and the title is from the Penny Black clear stamp set “the wonder”. For a finished look, I added a punched out snowflake and applied some flocking powder to the hedgehog’s Santa hat and the area below his skis.
I colored the hedgehog using Prismacolor Pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Paint Thinner. In the past, I have watercolored a couple of images (please click here and here) but I always seem to go back to my Prismacolor Pencils. What coloring technique do you use the most?
Thanks for taking a look at my card. I always look forward to your comments!

“Holly Day Critters” Christmas Card

I love Christmas and greatly enjoy making Christmas cards. Today I decided to get a head start on this year’s Christmas cards and made the one you see below. I bought the Penny Black transparent stamp set “Holly Day Critters” a little while ago and immediately knew I was going to make a card with the cute little mouse dancing in the snow. For the circular window, I used my Nestabilities and for the snowflake accent I used my new Martha Stewart punch.
Have you already started on your Christmas cards? Do you make the same card for everyone on your list or do you come up with lots of different designs?
Enjoy the long Labor Day weekend!
