This Christmas gift tag is my entry for this week’s Penny Black “gift tag” challenge. I just purchased my first Copic markers and coloring the Penny Black “Warm & Cold” snowman image gave me a chance to practice my Copic coloring skills. To color the image, I used the following markers: B 32, R08, E 37, RV11 and YR04.

To those of you who also use Copics, do you have some tips and tricks for a Copic beginner like me?
Thanks for stopping by and spending some of your time with me.
Adorable! Are you addicted to the markers after coloring this little cutie?
Liebe Silke
Carola
This is such a cute tag! Love your coloring…..awesome work as always & TFS!!!
Very cute, love the round shape of the card and the colors are fab!
I hope you are winning some of these challenges, your work is adorable and looks like it came right out of a magazine.
Hey Silke,
Love your tag. Best of luck in the challenge. :0)
Your tag is so cute. I like how you colored it.
This is such a cute snowman! You made the perfect little tag with him. I really love the gingham ribbon and twine.
Great tag Silke! Looks like you are off to a great start with you copics. I have a love hate relationship with mine! LOL
ADORABLE tag! I love my Copics but it does take a while to get use to them. If you don’t have many in your collection or if you are just starting out buy the lightest colors first. This way you can get a faux blended look by coloring the edges multiple times and leaving the center of the shape lighter with just one color. (the color gets darker as you add more layers) When you buy more, buy them in sets of 3 per color. The numbers should be 2-3 numbers apart. For example: R02, R05, & R08. There are so many tutorials and suggested colors charts out there. All you have to do is Google it. Have fun with your new Copics Silke! :)
Hi Silke, your tag is once again more than charmin. I can really see, with such a love you did it.
Greetings Tanja
Very cute tag and image! I don’t have any copic yet. I remember there are some tutorial in their blog or website on the flyers I saw in store.
What a sweet card! I never think to make tags but I love seeing what others create. Enjoy your Copics!
